I have been devising and running creative workshops for children since 1999. From the start of my career, I have always been interested in nurturing creativity and early on learned the importance of practicing with a strong set of key values. In my work, I have always ensured that the environment is a safe space both physically and emotionally, that there is choice available rather than one prescribed outcome to follow and that the materials available are of the highest quality possible. I have found that these values support creativity, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing and provide a strong foundation to any project or workshop.

Working regularly with theatres or theatre companies, I love to incorporate elements of scenography into what I am doing by creating installations and props that help children become immersed in their imaginations. I often make trails and hunts around hidden spaces, searching for mad scientists labs or miniature dwellings and love to use these narratives as inspiration my participants to make and create their own art.

The slideshow below is a selection of images from my workshops. I have also linked to a film about Cascade, an inclusive project I co-devised and facilitated with Figment Arts in 2008.
